Insight School of Kansas, Partnering with Spring Hill Unified School
District, Allows Students to Go to School Online, Tuition-Free

SPRING HILL, Kan., March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Public high school students
in the state of Kansas can now get their education tuition-free with the
click of a mouse.

Insight School of Kansas is a full-time, diploma-granting, online
public high school that is tuition-free for Kansas residents. The student
enrollment process will begin April 17 and Kansas residents are invited to
attend any of the 21 information sessions being held across the state from
April 17 through April 26, 2008. Insight School staff will be on hand to
discuss curriculum options, demonstrate online courses and answer
questions. To find out more about specific dates and times, please visit
http://www.insightks.net.

Students earn their high school diploma, issued by the Spring Hill
Unified School District, in a personalized, student-centered,
teacher-facilitated program. Students complete their studies at their own
speed and in their own setting, using a school-issued laptop and printer
and will have access to a monthly Internet reimbursement.

Traditional high school isn't for all students and Insight School of
Kansas offers a more flexible option. Insight goes beyond a traditional
education by offering more than 120 courses-ranging from Foundation
coursework to Advanced Placement - personalized to meet the needs of
students with different backgrounds and aspirations. Students that thrive
in online high school include those who:

-- Have been homeschooled by choice;

-- Live or work in a rural setting, miles away from the nearest school;

-- Want to progress through coursework more quickly;

-- Are pursuing careers in athletics or arts;

-- Are members of families that move or travel frequently;

-- Can't attend school due to physical condition or illness;

-- Need to catch up after falling behind on credits; or

-- May have better success outside the traditional school environment.

Insight stands apart from other virtual schools by offering the highest
level of support through the unique iMentor program, certified instruction,
leading-edge technology, parental tools and 24/7 on-demand academic and
technical help. Each Insight student is paired with an iMentor, a personal
mentor and learning advisor. iMentors check in with their students by
e-mail or phone frequently and will review the student's progress. They
help the student with online learning strategies, match the student's
interests with their education and provide students with post-high school
planning.

Insight students have the opportunity to join clubs, organizations and
enjoy personal interaction and socialization, which is an important part of
the high school experience. Students interact and socialize regularly
through virtual and face-to-face activities such as discussion threads,
virtual clubs and assemblies, and have the opportunity to attend
traditional field trips and school dances. Additionally, teachers have set
office hours at least once a week where students can gather for a virtual
open discussion.

Parents also have a direct connection with teachers and iMentors, as
well as real-time visibility into student progress, attendance and grades.

"Though our students' education is online and virtual, Insight focuses
on giving each individual student the personal attention he or she needs,"
said Keith Oelrich, Founder of Insight Schools. "We find this type of
attention provides our students with the tools they need to succeed."
