We offer kindergarten through twelfth grade students an alternative learning environment that combines the traditional "home school" approach with group support and enrichment activities. HomeTech Charter School strives to provide a family atmosphere for our students. Our groups are small enough to offer both the exceptional and the at-risk student a safe and supportive learning environment. Our credentialed teachers meet with students regularly to monitor progress and are readily available to help as the need arises.

South Sutter Charter School http://www.sscs.cc/   An independent study charter school that is a separate school from the district's longstanding Marcum Illinois Elementary School.  SSCS opened for Fall 2006 and serves California students who reside in a seven-county area including Sutter, Butte, Colusa, Placer,Sacramento, Yolo, and Yuba counties.

Connecting Waters Charter School http://www.connectingwaters.org/    This school is enrolling students who reside in an eight-county area including Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Alameda. Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, Santa Clara, and Tuolumne counties.

Coastal Grove Charter School has Kindergarten through eighth grade classes. Please call us to check on available space and/or to put your child on the waiting list. Coastal Grove Charter School offers an Independent Home Study Program with a learning center offering classes a few days a week to supplement your home study program. Mattole Valley Charter School http://www.mattolevalley.com/ Vision: Mattole Valley Charter School (MVCS) is a dependent K-12 charter of the Mattole Unified School District opened on September 17, 1998 and presently has 900 students. MVCS aims to serve students seeking a non-traditional educational setting, students and families desiring a more flexible school schedule, students who are more successful in small learning environments, and students who have been identified as having special educational needs, perhaps because they are highly gifted, have learning disabilities, emotional challenges or are academically low achieving.

Eagles Peak Charter School is a public school, funded through California state educational funds. There is no charge for our school program. Julian Charter School http://www.juliancharterschool.org/page.php/home.html The school employs teachers who are state-credentialed educators within the State of California to work with parents and students to design an individual instruction plan that fits the students' learning style and educational goals. Student instructional programs may be designed to prepare the student to enter the work force or continue their education at a college of their choice. This school is publicly funded and fully credentialed to confer high school diplomas by the State of California and the Julian School District. We serve students in San Diego County, and two counties contiguous to San Diego County: Orange County and Riverside County.

Golden Valley is a public, non-classroom based program, focused on personalized learning for students in grades K-12. We are currently serving students who reside in Ventura, Kern and Los Angeles counties, with the option to include Santa Barbara county students as interest increases. Valley Oaks Charter School is a parent choice and parent participation, tuition-free charter where parents, teachers and the community work together to educate one student at a time. The school offers a wide range of options including home-based learning, cooperative school programs and classes, independent study, group seminars and learning projects.

Pathways Charter School http://pathways.schoolengine.com/    Who Enrolls at Pathways?
Students come to Pathways Charter School in a variety of different ways. Families currently enrolled in the school might refer a student or family. Some students are referred by home schooling or charter organizations, while others, looking for a better academic program for their students, find us through local resources. By now you've probably had a chance to speak with one of our teachers or administrators about our educational programs and enrollment process. When initial contact is made you are assigned to a Local Area. Your Area Coordinator will assist you in completing the enrollment process. This person can help you with any questions you may have about the necessary paperwork. Lake County: encompasses the lower half of Lake County.
Northern Napa: encompasses the immediate area north of the city of Napa to the Sonoma County/Lake County border and both west and east of the HWY 29 corridor between these two areas.
Lower Napa: encompasses Napa city proper and all areas south (including American Canyon) to Vallejo.
Solano: encompasses all of Solano County west and south of, and including Vacaville.
East Sonoma: encompasses the areas due east of Santa Rosa to the city of Sonoma, along the HWY 12 corridor.
Santa Rosa/West County: encompasses Windsor south to Petaluma and Santa Rosa west to the coast.
Santa Rosa/North: encompasses Santa Rosa north to Cloverdale and both west and east of the HWY 101 corridor between these two areas.
Marin County: encompasses all of Marin County.

Merced Scholars Charter School (MSCS) provides a personalized education for home-schooled students in grades 6-12 residing in Merced County as well as adjacent counties. What We Offer

MCHCS serves families with students in Kindergarten through grade 12 in Monterey County and adjacent counties.

TWIN RIDGES HOME STUDY CALIFORNIA CHARTER SCHOOL #26

This successful program served students on the San Juan Ridge as well as those residing in the nearby towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City. Twin Ridges Home Study was converted to a Charter School in 1993, becoming CA Charter School #26.

Visions in Education  https://www.viedu.org/about/     Visions In Education (VIE) is a fully accredited San Juan Unified School District charter school that provides educational services to two different student populations: home school and independent study. VIE serves kindergarten through-12th grade (K-12) students in Sacramento County and eight surrounding counties (Amador, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Placer, San Joaquin, Solano, Sutter, and Yolo).

Bay Shore Prep http://www.bayshoreprep.org/  Bayshore Prep is a tuition-free, California Public Charter School serving grades K-12 in San Diego and surrounding counties.

The Charter School of San Diego  http://www.charterschool-sandiego.net/  Open enrollment for students in grades 7-12 is city-wide. Waiting lists are maintained. The Charter School is a school of choice.There are no specific enrollment dates. Students may enroll at any time. Students arriving in the middle of a term may receive credit for passing work at their previous school, and will be able to complete most classes at CSSD.

Sun Valley Charter High School  http://www.sunvalleycharter.org/   Sun Valley Charter School will actively recruit a diverse student population from within Ramona and surrounding areas who understand and value the School's mission and are committed to the School's instructional and operational philosophy.
 
TIP Academy http://www.tipacademy.org/indstudy.asp   Guided Independent Study is a study-at-home method of receiving TIP curriculum at home. TIP Staff is committed to providing a complete and comprehensive education to those who choose this method of schooling. Enrollment at TIP Academy is open to all California residents and is determined by lottery. Children who reside within the Encinitas Union School District boundaries are given priority in the lottery over out of district students.
 
Shasta Secondary Home School  http://www.charterhomeschool.net/    Shasta Secondary Home School - A "Personalized " Learning Charter School that specializes in a curriculum that integrates many modalities of learning, thereby allowing the parent and student to choose from classes online, on campus, at Shasta Home School, regular high school campuses, and Shasta College.  With a certificated staff of 12, and a classified staff of 3, the school has grown from 24 students to 258 as of June, 2005. This growth has allowed the school to purchase its own building consisting of offices, computer and science labs, multi-use classroom, and an ever expanding choice of on campus classes. The school will also be offering online courses beginning this year.

Hart Ransom Charter School  http://www.hart-ransomcharter.com/  we are nestled among the almond orchards in the western tip of Modesto.  Students entering grades K through 8 are welcome to apply for enrollment provided they live in Stanislaus County or an adjacent county. We offer many programs, support, and classes to enhance our student's home education.

Visalia Unified School District Charter Home School Academy http://www2.visalia.k12.ca.us/homeschool/  We embrace home schooling as a positive alternative for parents who want to meet individual needs by teaching their children at home. http://www.valleyoakcharter.org/ Ojai, CA  Valley Oak families  choose, plan and participate in independent learning activities during the week, parents work in the classroom on a rotating basis (approximately one day every eight weeks). Valley Oak Charter will consider only applicants with a pre-registration form for the given year on file. We will include applicants in the lottery who have their forms filed before the lottery date. We will consider applications filed after that date through the waiting list process.  We attempt to maintain age/grade balance in the program. For this reason, we will admit students in three basic groupings, in approximately even numbers. These will correspond roughly to the State funding categories K-3, 4-6, and 7-10.
