Alaska Online Schools
Because of long distances between towns and rural areas in Alaska, the state's school districts seem to have a fairly good distance learning/homeschool assistance program set up already. Using that established system with your own school district would mean no out of pocket tuition for your family.
Please email info@cyberhighschools.com if there are additional cyber charter or distance learning schools that you would like to see on this list. You will see the first school below mention Blackboard Learning Systems. That is correct, Blackboard is the leader in online school course delivery technology.

Students have immediate access to their teachers through instant web-conferencing and/or phone from 8:30 to 3:45 Monday through Friday.
